Pre-Trip To Do List

For my benefit:
  • Mow the lawn
  • Buy dishwasher detergent so I can
  • Leave the kitchen clean (dishes waiting to be washed while I am here and might wash them at any moment don't bother me. Having them sit on the counter while I am gone seems much more wrong(this would be so much easier if I could stop cooking meanwhile))
  • Take out the garbage and recycling
  • Eat as much of the Farm Fresh produce as I can (should have moved this delivery)***
  • Possibly some laundry, though I think I'm all right in that department
  • Figure out how to get W access to the outside Tuesday morning
  • Move station wagon off the street (smog check can wait until I get back, it's already so late a few days won't matter)
  • Make sure bees have food while I'm gone
  • Empty indoor compost pail
  • Change litterboxes
  • Pack - looks like weather will be similar to what it's been here, so that should be easy wow I have forgotten how to pack. I'm sure what I have to bring will be fine, but that took a lot of thinking. And I am abandoning any pretense that I will bring toiletries with me. Surely the hotel will give me some, or sell them nearby.
  • Actual logistical travel stuff - printing tickets, figuring out train schedule, etc trying printing to iPad for JetBlue and Amtrak tix, will need BART tix at station
  • Pay about to be due bills
  • Get some walking around money

***Sublist: food to be eaten up
  • Icebox cake
  • Scallions - might just need to go into the compost already
  • Avocado
  • Cilantro (if it is still edible)
  • Broccoli - about a serving still to go, toss into an omelet/scrambled eggs?
  • Cauliflower
  • Radish tops
  • Strawberries - maybe can finish off for breakfast
  • Zucchini - I want to grate it and saute it, but that means using the food processor, which means cleaning the food processor.
  • Lettuce - whatever I don't eat can go in to the dedicated lettuce keeper and maybe still be edible when I get home
Yeah, that's a lot. And the freezer is pretty dang full.

Am I doing any of those things right now? Of course not.
