Breakin' the law, breakin' the law...
I think I just accidentally stole a bag of groceries.
I went to Raley's to pick up a few things, mostly stuff I need for a particular recipe, not a long list, so I started shopping without a cart, just putting what I was getting into my reusable grocery bag. Then I remembered I needed toilet paper and didn't want to haul around the 24-roll pack so I got a cart and just tossed the rest of the stuff on my list in willy-nilly. Apparently, the checker thought I had already paid for everything that was in the shopping bag? I don't know, but she didn't charge me for any of it, which I didn't notice until I got home, unpacked everything, and looked at the receipt to enter the transaction in Quicken and realized it was suspiciously short.
