Grrrr

Today is on the List.

Henry had to go on a business trip today (more on H's work in another post, no doubt. It is problematic). His flight left at 6 AM, so we set the alarm for 3:30, I managed to drag myself out of bed by 4 and got him to the airport for 5. Came home in time to discover that Carl's Jr doesn't open for breakfast until 6. Blah blah blah getting through the day with not enough sleep-cakes. Get a text message from DH saying he arrived in Phoenix more or less when I expected. Did not get the follow-up arrived safely in Dallas message when expected. A couple of hours later, in fact, got a message that plane had been diverted to San Antonio for weather. Now, 2 hours after that, he tells me they are still in the plane, on the tarmac, no takeoff time in sight, no food being served. Flight tracking website says his flight is scheduled to continue on to Dallas at 11 PM, in which case they seriously need to let them off the plane, but I have no idea if there is any accuracy at all to that.

I am not pleased and I'm not sure where to direct my ire and too freaking tired to think straight. Bah.

4:15 PM (5 hours after original ETA), flight is canceled. Don't know what happens next.

6:54 He's in a Holiday Inn in San Antonio ordering room service and then going to sleep. Whew.

Yeah, I have a friend that had a 1:45p business flight today out of Denver to Dallas. He sat at the airport until 5p or so waiting to board, then sat on a plane until almost 8pm and then the flight was cancelled. But at least he was able to get off of the plane and just go home. (The business trip was cancelled as well.)

Poor you and poor Henry. I'm glad he's settled in for the night at a hotel instead of the airport.

I suppose that's why the M's were rained out... again...

They were playing in Texas.
