Yay, birdseed! I still haven't put up my "tree", but my little feathered friends have lots of bugs and weeds to enjoy. We did have that crazy hail that seemed like snow the other day, but I doubt that affected the food supply for long.
I have to endorse the thermos method of yogurt making - so simple! As long as you have a thermometer, it's really straightforward - heat up milk to 175F or so, let cool to 110, add starter yogurt, keep above 80 for 8 hours, which the thermos did no problem. I had the idea, for some reason, that the thermos would be a pain to clean after, but it wasn't at all. You can only make as much as your thermos will hold is the drawback, I guess.
