Heh
So, I met with my insurance agent last week to update my coverage to make sense for my new situation, which didn't really need much changing but I went ahead and bought myself a life insurance policy to cover remaining funeral expenses (note to self - plot is bought but everything else needs to be arranged and paid for funeral-wise) or whatever and made some minor changes here and there. Anyway, my flood insurance, most problematic of all my insurance needs for a variety of reasons, required a death certificate to take H's name off of it, so I brought them a copy.
She had never seen one so long (3 pages, corrections and addenda).
Anyway, while I was there I was supposed to sign the form asking for the change to the policy, but that didn't happen so they mailed it to me to sign and mail back and included the copy of the death certificate that I guess they don't need anymore. And in shuffling those papers around I noticed that it has NOT been a full year since the death certificate was signed, and that makes me feel better about my general lack of Getting My Shit Together and Moving On.
Slow-moving bureaucracy, occasionally good for making me feel better about my own lack of productivity!

Honestly, I think you're doing fantastic.
