Diet To Go, etc.
Jul. 29th, 2009 11:07 amSo, I signed up for this Diet to Go thing, where I tell them what I can't eat and how many calories I want/day and they make me three balanced meals to fit my parameters and get them to my gym twice weekly. Picked up the first set yesterday, which makes today my first full day on the diet.
It all tastes okay, but man, am I starving right now. Breakfast included a Yoplait yogurt that I plan to swap for a different brand as soon as I can get to a store, so maybe this won't happen every day. I'd already decided to add a daily yogurt and coffee with cream and sugar or Splenda, but I am out of both cream and yogurt today. The plan was to hit the grocery store that is right by the gym yesterday after picking up the diet food, but I was wrung out after lifting weights and doing a class and the thought of walking down even one grocery store aisle was just too much.
I did make it to the Post Office beforehand, though. Now if I can get to the bank this afternoon I will be in pretty good shape, errands-wise and can focus on the homefront for the rest of the week. With a little luck, this not cooking will let me get through kitchen cleaning a lot faster and I can turn my attention to getting the rest of the house more like I want it. We shall see.
Love Letters at the Cabaret in Martinez tonight. I'm looking forward to it. The last thing we saw there was kind of weak, but that was more the choice of material than the performers and Love Letters is supposed to be good.
Sigh. Ate my lunch while I was typing this up. Still hungry.
