Finally found out exactly what that Amex charge is and it looks like it is fraudulent - emergency funds provided in November, somehow. Yay! I don't have to pay it and I don't have any additional worries about H compromising his ethics in his final month. That was bothering me more than the money, frankly, it is great to have that burden gone. And everyone at Amex was so pleasant to deal with in figuring all that out, such a treat.

I do still have the final ambulance bill to pay - it just came like last week. They sent me a bill back in June, but at that time I just gave them our insurance information. As I recall, the total they are billing me for now is a lot lower than that initial bill, so that's good, but it's not pocket change. Hm, I wonder if I can count that as a medical expense for 2010. At any rate, I hope that once I get that paid I'll be done with these unexpected expenses from the past and can just deal with the inevitable unexpected expenses of the future as they arise and maybe get a handle on exactly what my expected expenses are.

Speaking of expected expenses, BofA still won't let me pay my mortgage - I don't know if they are under attack or what, but first I couldn't log in at all (just got a message saying they had technical difficulties and couldn't provide services at that time) and now I can see my account overview but not do anything. This has been a few days already. I've got a week or so grace period, still, so I am not worried about it but I have to remember that it's not paid - I pay on the first every month like clockwork so I don't have to think about it the rest of the time

No eggs this delivery, woe. Maybe next time.

But I did get
  • Green leaf lettuce
  • Garnet yams - tiny baby ams. I'm not sure what to do with tiny baby yams
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Dino Kale
  • Collard Greens
  • Tangerines - 8 honey tangerines, that's gonna take a while to get through
  • Gala apples
  • Mangoes (!) - possibly not ripe yet? They get soft when they're ripe, right?
I'm not sure where to start eating, those all sound delicious.
