Went out Friday night, and that was wonderful fun - sushi and drinks and easy conversation. Quite the good time!

Saturday morning I did something to my foot - I didn't notice landing on it wrong or anything but it suddenly really hurt to walk on it so I scrapped any plans that involved standing or walking and spent the day trying different lounging positions and reading Clash of Kings. Kind of a good thing, because I have less time than I thought to get through them all before Dance of Dragons comes out. I can just about walk normally for short distances today (like, down my hallway, so about 20 ft? is about my limit) but I'm not going to push it in hopes that the more I stay off it the faster it will heal.

It has become clear to me that the job hunting thing is not really happening. The time I try to spend on it is really just me fretting, not actually getting anything done. I think it'll be more productive to put that effort towards other goals for a while. I've got time. And one of the other goals I can work on is cutting my expenses, which will make for immediate benefits. There's a Job Fair right here in town on Tuesday, and I feel like I should go, but I haven't put a resume together or assembled an interview outfit and am just generally not ready. There will be other Job Fairs.

When my sister was here we tried to use the Wii, since she had never played with one, and discovered that it can't read discs, which seemed to make it almost useless (we did download a dart game that we were both pretty bad at, but was still pretty fun). However, this morning I tried using the Wii Fit Plus Channel and it didn't ask me to insert a disc (like all the Channels I had tried before), so I can start using that again. Tiny portions of exercise FTW!
