Random Nice Thing

So, I got a call from the Gallup poll tonight, all about organ donation, which I have a lot of feels about, as they say, so it's good to get my opinion counted, I guess. The nice part was at the end: when they take the demographic information they ask for age and maybe a couple of questions later they ask for marital status and when I said I was widowed the pollster immediately said "Oh, I'm so sorry, you are too young for that".  A sweet little human moment. Not what I expect from a telephone poll in an election year, you know?

Aww. I mean, aww that you have to answer that way to begin with, but aww for the nice human moment. Pollsters are not who I think of immediately when I think of nice human moments.

Right? Maybe that's unfair to pollsters, but the unexpectedness of it made it nicer.

Right! I mean, I'm sure pollsters are great people who love their children, but I'm just not looking for that kind of interaction on a polling call!
