Why I hate Chase

Chase is screwing us.
Now, the only reason we have a Chase account at all is because ages ago we had an account with the internet only bank Wingspan, and that was great. Then Bank One bought Wingspan and that sort of sucked, but not enough to make me go through the hassle of opening a new account somewhere else. And then Chase bought Bank One, and I figured that would just be more of the same.
The we moved to California. Where Chase has no branches. So we opened a checking account at a credit union where I've had a savings account forever and shifted all the automatic payments I could remember having, left a couple hundred dollars in the Chase account for those that slipped through the cracks and more or less forgot about it. Which was all irresponsible, I know. And resulted in getting a little overdrawn. But I did find out which autopays I still had to change, and changed them. Henry took on the job of calling Chase and arranging an electronic check for the outstanding balance and closing the account. Which he did early last week.
Today we get a call from Chase - they apparently didn't put that payment in until the day after we made it, charged us another $5 meanwhile, and have continued to charge us $5/day since because they didn't close the account when they said they would and how would we like to pay that $50?
Bah.
I think it's getting sorted out, but it is so fucking annoying.
