Long, so, going
1. Who was your best friend?:
Emma, my Evil Twin (and I was hers, it worked for us)
2.What sports did you play?:
Tennis for the school, soccer recreationally
3. What kind of car did you drive?:
No license until after I went to college.
4. It's Friday night, where were you?
At home or at a party, maybe wandering around LSU
5. Were you a party animal?:
Well, didn't exactly go to a lot of parties, but when I did I made up for those I missed.
6. Were you considered a flirt?:
Maybe? I didn't find out until much later that what I thought was normal behavior was considered flirting.
7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?
No. Wait, I accompanied the choir on the piano.
8. Were you a nerd?:
Oh, absolutely, and completely without shame.
9. Did you get suspended/expelled?:
Nope. I had been a good girl for so long I got away with a lot of rampant skipping of class and that's as bad I as I got.
10. Can you sing the fight song?
Our fight song was instrumental, all drums. I can sing the Alma Mater, though, complete with emphatic raised fist.
11. Who was your favorite teacher?:
Hm, my favorite high school teacher I didn't have my senior year. Of my senior year teachers, probably Ms. Woodring, the crazy German teacher.
12.What was your school's full name?:
McKinley Sr. High
13. School mascot?:
Panthers
14. Did you go to Prom?:
Yes.
15. If you could go back and do it over, would you?:
Oh, no. It went pretty well the first time, no need to mess that up. And I certainly don't want to find myself in that headspace again.
16. What do you remember most about graduation?:
I was so happy to be done with high school. We were seated on stage by class ranking for the ceremony and the girl next to me was just a casual acquaintance but we were both so ecstatic that it must have looked like we were best friends; we spent the whole ceremony smiling and laughing and talking nonsense.
17. Where were you on senior skip day?:
I don't remember. Spanish Town?
18. Did you have a job your senior year?:
Nope. I played the piano for a Lutheran church on alternate Sundays for a while, but io can't remember if it was during my senior year at all, and other than that I didn't work.
19. Where did you go most often for lunch?:
The breezeway between Bldg B and Bldg C
20. Have you gained weight since then?:
I've gained a whole extra high school me.
21. What did you do after graduation?:
My parents moved to California and I stayed with Emma's family for a month or so so I could go to Florida for the 4th of July with my friends, then a month or so trying to get settled in my folks new place (where I didn't have a bedroom, I was temporarily installed in my dad's office) and then off to college.
22. When did you graduate?:
1986
23. Who was your Senior prom date?:
I don't remember his name. Eddie something? He was my friend Auky's boyfriend's roommate, she had been trying to set me up with him for a while and finally succeeded with the Prom. We didn't click at all, but we took a nice picture.
24. Are you going to your 10 year reunion?:
There wasn't one, so far as I know. Or 20th or any other number. We're all too slackery to organize it, I guess.
25. Who was your home room teacher?:
I forget her name, it was choir for first period and if I bailed on it there were no repercussions.
26. Who will re-post this after you?:
Probably no one, I am late to the party.
