i have not been feeling very updatey lately, and I've been really busy. I've taken over the financial management of my brother's flower shop, which I can do remotely, but it involves a lot of catching up on the last 4 years of financial history. So that eats up a bunch of time. And the new house eats up some more, mostly with enjoyable things like buying a lawnmower and garage door opener, etc, which is fun because, you know, MINE. Also less fun stuff like finding out that fixing the foundation right would cost $50K, although the engineers revised their estimate down to more like $30K after we appeared to have no intention of doing a $50K job. $30K is kind of worse, because we could theoretically afford it, but it would totally wipe out our savings. This year is the first time I have had that 6-months of expenses in the bank thing that everyone says you should have and I am loathe to give it up. So, I think I will be "fixing" my foundation problems not right at all. Hopefully it will be good enough for a few years, it's not like we are on a slope and in danger of sliding into our neighbor's living room or anything.

And on top of that I've still got to do all the fiddly daily things that just need doing - laundry and dishes and filing my nails and whatnot. Oh, and I really need to start exercising again because my out-of-shapeness is just unacceptable.

I need a Time Turner. Or to stop sleeping.
