Made it to the cemetery, which was very pleasant indeed. Deciding to take I-80 at 8:30 AM was not the smartest choice, and that was compounded by an accident along the way (not involving me, just making traffic more gnarly), but creeping through traffic with the air conditioner working, not a big deal. I have the spot next to Henry's reserved for me, so I can lie on the grass where my grave will be. It's very peaceful.

Got to the movie theater at exactly the wrong time to see anything, so went to Trader Joe's instead, and of course bought frozen stuff because they have the delicious frozen stuff I want there, so had to come home after that and get that in the freezer. Completely forgot that i wanted to go by the hardware store until I was almost home, so drip irrigation project will have to wait until I can stand to make myself leave the merciful blast of the swamp cooler.

Trader Joe's also convinced me that that was enough of being out among the humans. Not that there is anything wrong with humans per se, but there are a lot of them out there. So hiding out in the living room is looking like a good bet for the foreseeable future.

...how about one for tomorrow? To wit
  • Take the dog for a walk
  • Get the broken branches off the front lawn (as much done as it's gonna be for a few days, anyway)
  • Plant the blanket flower that I can't remember the proper name of
  • Water the Walking Stick and the Camellia
  • Mow
  • Edge
  • Weed flower bed
  • Sweep porch, sidewalk and driveway
  • Feed birds
  • Pancakes
  • Find teflon tape
Not necessarily in that order, and if I can get any of it done it'll be a success. Supposed to be a lot less hot tomorrow, I think, but I hope to get an early start just in case I need to cower inside in the afternoon.
