The funeral home had a typo in my phone number, so they couldn't call me to tell they were in, but I called them to check this morning. Fixed the typo when I picked up the packet. So, that unlocks another section of my to-do list, basically.

The cause of death is acute bronchopneumonia with a "time interval between onset and death" of "days".

Days of pneumonia. How is that possible? My poor pookie.

I should be making up packets of documents to be sent various places, but I can't stop crying. It's waited this long, it can wait a little longer.

So, I called up Motorola and got contact info for the life insurance company. Called them and said I have this death certificate, where do I send it and what else do you need and she asks if I got the Beneficiary Forms and I say now so she starts checking and she asks for my address and it turns out that they've been sending condolences and official forms to be filled out (three times they sent them!) to our last address in New Orleans. I don't know how they even had that address, we'd moved to California a year or so before H started at Motorola. Unless this was a policy he transferred from OCA (does that happen with life insurance?), but even so, how did the address never get updated? We've done the Change Address thing at least twice since then. Weird.

But they've got my right address now and we should be in business. And I can send in the death certificate immediately.

That'll make two of these accomplished, I think that's probably enough for one day. I will at least take a break for a couple of hours.
