I'm so Arthur Dent-ish lately. I wear my bathrobe a lot. Having a lot of trouble with my lifestyle. Can't get the hang of Thursdays.

Haven't mastered sandwich making completely, yet. Something to work on.

Speaking of things to work on, here's an update on how my To Do list is going:
  • Lawn: still not mown or edged or anything. Maybe tomorrow.
  • Birdseed: purchased, but still in car, not in feeders
  • Laundry remains problematic. I need to put the clean stuff away, but that might require moving seasonal clothing and H's dresser is taunting me a little bit. The longer I stay in my bathrobe, the less this is an issue, though.
  • Got up at 6:30 today, which is earlier than yesterday. I may work my way up (down?) to getting up when the light comes on. Spent my "extra" morning time catching up on my RSS feed, which feels like accomplishing nothing, but does actually need doing or it will keep me from doing something more critical later. At least, this is what I tell myself.

Got my Box o' Produce. In today's shipmentLists! )
Then my local honey arrived - I was not expecting that so fast! It really didn't have far to come, but still, UPS Ground can ake a long time to go a short distance. Not this time. Now sampling:
  • Honey-So-Fresh, guaranteed harvested within the last month Just light and clean.
  • Eucalyptus-Acacia, the winter seasonal choice, darker both in color and flavor. Really interesting tasting
  • SF Bay Area Beekeepers' Blend, to cover the whole area, theoretically. A wildflower honey. I am often leery of wildflower honey, it can be too cloying and floral for me, but this one is fine.
  • Sweet Solano is waiting for Spring
3 t of honey a day may be too much, especially since scooping honey out of the jar with a teaspoon yields more than one teaspoon of honey. Might cut that in half. OTOH, all that sugar has got me wired, so that should help with waking up in the morning.

I guess I will hold off on the Nasalcrom to really test the allergy-prevention benefits. If it works I'll be very pleased, and if it doesn't, I'll have eaten yummy honey every day and can go back to the chemical solutions that sort of work.

This evening, I can pick up 4 stewing hens from Soulfood Farms, source of Wednesday. I hope I can fit them in my freezer. I couldn't pass up the chance at extra flavourful chickens when it came up unexpectedly.

Edited to add: They had eggs, so I got a dozen. yay! Time to feast
