May. 29th, 2012 05:00 pmHad a lovely day yesterday. Tried a new route into the city (transferring from Amtrak to BART at the Coliseum for more time with the train's free wifi and comfy seats) and it worked very well. Met up with friends for lunch and a bit of a stroll in the gorgeous weather and The Avengers, which was all terrific (2D this time, and I think I prefer it, not because the 3D was worse but because it just didn't add anything for me). The movie was longer than I thought, so I had to fall back to my old standby of BARTing out to Richmond and only caught my train because it was delayed for a few minutes en route, but catch it I did so I was home before full dark. Highly successful all the way around.
Of course, now I don't particularly want to do anything today. I'm trying to at least tidy up the kitchen some and I've made good progress on my Entertainment Weekly backlog (I'm up to the one with the Avengers cover, coincidentally).
And apparently I should have paid attention to my Motorola Mobility stock? I don't think I have to actually do anything, there's probably a letter somewhere (possibly in the garage next to the mailslot where uncollected mail sometimes falls and hides, possibly still on its way to me) explaining what is up.
