Drinking Vinegar

I forgot to mention the "drinking vinegar" that seemed to be on offer everywhere we went in Portland. Presumably it will sweep the nation (or at least the west coast) soon enough. Flavored vinegars served with soda water and ice, as far as I can tell. I tried a few, because I like vinegar to start with, and I can think of circumstances where they'd be really tasty (they're pretty tasty in general, actually, but not beating-out-all-the-other-beverages-available tasty), like after a really heavy workout, or on a very hot day. Something tells me sweating a lot would make vinegar super yummy.

But, really, I'd rather have a little liqueur glass full of vinegar that I could sip than have it diluted through a pint of soda water, I think.
