Ugh. Fall Monday watching the weather channel is not something I wanted to do again, y'know?

Looks like leaving New Orelans was the right call for me. This is the part I didn't want to have to do again: deciding between leaving and staying; if we go, where do we go, how do we get there, what do we take. Even from this remove it's stressful.

Mom-in-law should be up in Brooklyn by now, or in the air, anyway.

Not the kind of miss we got with Georges, I don't think. A miss to the West cam be as bad as being in the direct path. Besides, I can't really root for it to go somewhere else just because I know fewer people there, you know?

And, I hate to say it, but if there's no destruction with Gustav, more people will stay next time.

Well at least it's having trouble staying that well defined. I can root for it to go elsewhere just because lower population density is a good thing when the hurricane hits.
