What was happening with me yesterday? Oh, right:

• 08:18 Actually woke up this morning feeling awake and pretty good! Why can't that happen every day?
• 13:12 Argh. All that awakeness has evaporated. At least I got some dishes washed in the meantime.
• 13:55 Going to stimulate some vitamin D production. #fb
• 16:19 Dumpling report: filling made, dough resting prior to rolling. Debating rolling pin vs. pasta machine for 1/16 in thickness...
• 16:28 Considering the height of my workspace (ie, too high for me) I think I'd better stick with the pasta roller.
• 18:04 67 little dumplings full of lamb and pine nuts getting toothsome in the fridge. Feet and back hurt from standing and rolling for 90 minutes.
• 18:40 I have GOT to get my cushy mats in place in the kitchen. That floor is too hard. Stupid needing to mop.
• 20:25 Challah rising
• 20:26 I'll have to make groceries tomorrow if we want dinner again. This eating every day thing is for chumps.
• 22:11 Dumpling report: accidentally doubled the mint in the soup (by halving everything else). Suspect that will not be a problem.
• 23:12 Gah, didn't halve the water either. Soup was way thin. Bah.


By the time I went to bed, I was all frustrated that I spent all day cleaning the kitchen and cooking and ended up with the kitchen still needing more cleaning and soup that was wrong. Sigh.

And the wild oats or whatever they are in the backyard have started drying out. I really wanted to get them all cut down before that happened, I was hoping to catch them before they started dropping seed in earnest, but our weedeater broke two weeks ago and we had to order a belt to fix it and DH hasn't had time to do the actual fixing yet. I was really tempted to buy the cheapest weedeater at Ace hardware while I was trying to get belts so I could chop that stuff down in the meantime, but he talked me out of it. Kind of regret that, now.

Oh well, I know what we'll be doing tomorrow - working in the yard! Don't really know what I'm doing today - more cooking and cleaning is not appealing but that is, of course, what needs doing.

Ah, well, should be able to fit in some season finale watching of Supernatural and Vampire Diaries, that'll be good.

Or not. Recording device failed me on SPN. Guess I will be waiting for CW.com to get the video online. Sigh.
