Worms, Beautiful Worms...

I did my first harvest of the worm bin today. That is some seriously beautiful, rich, black soil, my friends. A half-gallon, gallon, I don't know, estimating volume by eye is hard. Dumped it all around the orange tree (the orange tree we planted, as opposed to the two orange trees that were here when we moved in), but I will have to give some thought to systematic deployment in the future. Worms seem healthy and happy, as far as I can tell. I am pleased that my failing to chop up my kitchen scraps into tiny pieces doesn't seem to have caused any problems, so I can continue my fairly cavalier approach
