multipurposegoddessYes, I did get my car to the garage this morning. And it needs a new catalytic converter, so that's some non-trivial money I didn't want to spend, but it's also money I have, so that's good. Though it does make me wish I could send $1000 back in time so I didn't have to junk my beloved red convertible for not being able to afford a repair back in the day. Anyway, once that's done the smog check should be a breeze so the one car will be totally legal. Hopefully when I get the Toyota smogged I can find out how to get the right paperwork for the Volvo.
On the way back from the garage I had breakfast out, which was really good. Now I just want to be a slug the rest of the day. Aside from needing to go out to the chicken farm and pick up confit, that may be doable.
