Procrastinaty postage
Oct. 18th, 2010 01:13 pmI need to go get something notarized (again), but I need to shower and put on clean clothes before I can do that (I mean, that's just polite, right? This is not entirely me being avoidant, this is also me recognizing that I am currently really and truly not fit to be among the humans because of being seriously unwashed). But I am not jumping right into that, oh no, not when I can write up a nice little journal entry.
I did this Shambhala retreat over the weekend. Long story short: it was worthwhile for me, I think. I feel better about the whole lack of goals and inability to accomplish anything thing I have going on. I may get more specifically navel-gazy about it later.
I am so out of it today, a bad combination of bouncing from one thing to another and the majority of the "things" I am "doing" actually not being anything - like, I've been trying to make myself lunch for about an hour and a half but get distracted by thinking about the pros and cons of going back to bed. Also been composing this post for maybe as much as two hours and I suspect it is not getting more coherent and content-filled as I go, so maybe I will go ahead and post and at least have one less thing competing for my attention.
Edited at 4 PM to add: have decided that girding my loins and making two phone calls and sending an e-mail will have to count as enough for today. Taking the actions required by the responses to said communications will have to wait for tomorrow.
