Jul. 6th, 2012 01:11 pm So, I went to the theatre with my folks last night to see Vaudeville:a Play with Music, which was pretty good. Beforehand, we planned to go this restaurant downtown (their downtown, not my downtown) which seems to always be closed when we pass by, but which is supposed to be open Thursday evenings. In looking to confirm that they would be open, I naturally checked out the menu and started thinking about what I'd want to order.
Got there and, of course, it was closed. I don't know why, there was no note of explanation on the door or anything, but presumably something to do with the holiday. So, we ate somewhere else, no biggie, good meal, good show, nice time out with the folks.
My point is (can you believe it? I actually have a point!) now I have awakened a desire for vanilla ice cream topped with a shot of espresso, as offered on the dessert menu of the restaurant that is always closed. Alas.
