multipurposegoddessFatal Hardware failure. Poor thing has got to be 5 or 6 years old and it has worked pretty hard for most of that time, I can't really be surprised.
I think DiskWarrior is doing a good job of backing what files are actually on the hard drive (not much) up to an external hard drive, so that's all right. Now I have to think.
Bah, thinking.
Probably an AppleTV would do the media center portion of the current mini's job well enough and for much cheaper. And I signed up for iCloud and iTunes Match before the crashing started, so getting to those external hard drives is not as critical as it would have been a month or so ago. Hm. Possibly an opportunity for radical change.
This old Nova I'm watching is giving me the idea that maybe I will sort this out during tonight's REM cycles. Wouldn't that be nice?
