"Vacation" update
Sep. 23rd, 2006 02:49 pmServices last night were very nice - good sermon. This is the first Rosh Hoshana I've been at Sher Hadash since 2003 - in 2004 a lot of people were evacuated for Ivan (though Henry and I weren't, and if memory serves our rabbi at Temple Sinai also was in town and we had a small service there) and 2005 we were scattered all over. The congregation was much smaller than in previous years, but they have fixed up the sanctuary quite well.
DH's family is exhausting. Their agendas are slightly cross-purposes, so I can't just go with the flow without getting knocked around by the turbulence. It doesn't help that my Achilles tendon is sore enough to make just walking around the house painful and excursions to go tour art shows or whatever terribly uninviting, so I can't go with the flow even as much as I would like to. Stupid body.
