Ah, the Almond Trees are in Bloom
Feb. 19th, 2007 05:06 pmI should have taken a picture of one yesterday to icon-ize, I had a pretty view of the delicate white flowers adorning the still unleafy branches. Even with seeing actual flowers on an actual tree, it took until today for me to realize that the low-level not feeling right I've been having is probably the annual allergy season kicking in - almonds really piss of my immune system. Eight years away has led me to forget all my coping skills. Well, my one coping skill, really: Nasalcrom twice a day from Valentine's Day until June. And I just tossed a bottle of Nasalcrom because it had expired, but haven't bought a replacement yet. Oh, brain, why don't you look out for your neighbors, the sinuses? It's so much better for all of us when the whole skull is happy.
So, to the drugstore for some rear-guard action. I don't think I'm quite bad enough off yet to take Sudafed - it's always a tradeoff as to which is worse, the symptoms or the cure with that one - but I need my prophylactic. probably be wise to pick up some dinner while I am out and about, I certainly don't feel like cooking or doing a full-scale grocery shop.
