Batting .500
Oct. 8th, 2007 12:23 pmThat's pretty good in baseball. I'm not sure if it's a good average for Stuff I Wanted to Get Done this Weekend.
I did go on the Home Tour in Martinez, which was cool. Seven houses, built sometime between 1880 and 1930, in various states of restoration. Lots of dark green with burgundy accents. One haunted. One with a lot of eucalyptus paneling, which I hadn't seen before. Some really fancy hinges. Pretty neat.
Then I went grocery shopping with my dad and checked out all the new brickwork they had put in on their front walk and driveway and side yard. It's a marked improvement and makes everything much more usable and just plain looks good. My poor dad looks around and just sees all the stuff he still has to do everywhere, but I could see how much they've gotten done and I hope I was able to get that across to him.
Did not go to the Waterfront Fest. Too tired. Next year it should be easier.
Sunday morning I didn't wake up till 8 and felt just terrible, like my head was stuffed with cotton. I finally decided to go back to bed and didn't go see Henry. When I called to see if he was okay with that he sounded pretty good.
Did go see my mom tapdance in the Follies Brassiere, which was a lot of fun. I never get to see her dance - she's not really into performing - so that was a real treat, and the rest of the show was good, too.
Today I've stayed on top of the kitchen - still not throughly clean, but at least not getting worse - and done some laundry. Woo-hoo!
